Can I Rename Uploaded Files/Images Based on a Specific Field Value?

If you want to rename files/images based on a specific field value after upload, Ragic currently does not support this directly. However, you can achieve a similar result using the following workaround.

Step 1: Set the Field for Download File Name

First, configure the Field for Download File Name in your File/Image Upload field. This allows the system to automatically name downloaded files based on a specified field value.

For example, if you set a field such as "Customer Name" or "Order Number" as the reference field, the downloaded file will automatically use that field value as its file name.

Step 2: Download the Files

Download the files you want to rename from Ragic. If you need to download files from all records, you can use the Mass File Download feature.

During download, the system will automatically apply a new file name based on the configured field value.

Step 3: Re-upload the Files

After downloading the renamed files, you can use the Mass File Upload feature to batch upload them back to the corresponding field.
